BMSD 2022 Day 2 Summary

Match 7

The opening game of the day was played between Group A and Group B on the Sanhok map. Following a disappointing day, Team SouL had a perfect opportunity to get back on track on their favorite map. Players often opt for healing battles in the closing stages of the match, but today we saw otherwise. The final circle featured heavyweight teams in the form of Team SouL, GODLike, and Orangutan.

With numerical superiority, Team SouL was on course for a grandstand finish but Driger of Orangutan came up with gut-wrenching sprays to eliminate GODLike. Orangutan outclassed SouL in the previous encounter but this time Team SouL was too hot to handle as Omega finished off in-style to clinch WWCD.

Match 8

The second match of the day was a repeat of the first match on the Erangle map. With SouL’s victory, a complete reshuffle had occurred in the overall standings. Hence, teams from the bottom half of the table were seen scratching for points.

With all the popular going out early, opportunities came for the underdogs to shine. R Esports, two players of TSM, and Nakul of Global sports featured in the final circle. Confident R Esports wasted no time to eliminate TSM and Nakul to claim WWCD. Meanwhile, the talking point of the match became the celebration of Kanary after the end of the match.

Match 9

With Group A sitting out due to group divisions, all teams from Group B and Group C took center stage on the Miramar map. Height advantages and positioning always have a crucial role on this map. Having failed in the first match, OR Esports was looking focused to regain composure. Eventually, they positioned themselves well to maneuver the zone.

A 2v2v2 battle featured among OR Esports, Revenant Esports, and Skylightz Gaming in the final circle. The combination spray of Aditya and Attanki eliminated Skylightz as we headed into another 2v2 battle. In-form OR Esports was too hot to handle as they clean-swept Revenant to claim the WWCD.

The fourth match of the day was a repeat of the third match on the Erangle map. The match witnessed a similar pattern as popular teams exited early once again. The game was tantalizingly poised as FS Esports, Team Hydra, and Nigma Galaxy featured in the final circle. Nigma Galaxy rode all the challenges but succumbed to Team Hydra in a close battle. Jaxon of Hydra had enough health to eliminate retrieving Nigma Galaxy and clinch the WWCD.
