BGMI Showdown 2022: Orangutan, one of India’s top competitive esports team finished Second at the BGMI Showdown 2022. Battlegrounds Mobile India’s first Official LAN tournament organized by the gaming behemoth Krafton, saw participation from 24 of India’s top competitive esports teams. After six thrilling matches on the final’s day, Orangutan who was leading the chart before the last match finished in second place on the overall leaderboard. The Orangutan team consisted of: Vedang ‘Vedzz’ Chavan – Coach, captained by Ashish “Ash” Bhatnagar – Captain and Ankit ‘AKop’ Shukla, Shubham ‘Driger’ Quriyal, Faraz ‘WizzGOD’ Khan and Manoj ‘Believe’ Mahant.

7Sea Esports come at top at BGMI Showdown 2022, bag 7 Lacs prize money
7Sea Esports won the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown 2022 with 92 points after a tough fight with Orangutan Gaming. As winners of the tournament 7Sea Esports bagged 7 lacs rupees and a chance to represent India at PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022. Orangutan came in 2nd at the leaderboard with 83 points and bagged INR 2.5 lacs rupees. Engima Gaming came in third and won INR 1 lac.

The team started strong from the beginning itself and were leading the table with a healthy lead till the end of the second last match. With a great match in the third round of the day that was played on Erangel, the team secured 11-kill chicken dinner to climb up to the second spot on the overall standings from the seventh position.

The team also aced the fifth match, and they claimed the win with eight finishes with good rotations & team play and a healthy lead of 17 points. With their consistency in the top place before the final match, the team secured second place with 83 points and bagged the price of Rs 2,50,000. Orangutan Gaming is looking to make it big within the BGMI circuit.

The final six matches so a lot of ups and downs. Other big names like GodLike, SouL and TSM FTX also tried their best to come out on top. However, with Orangutan Esports getting eliminated midway of the final match sealed the deal for 7Sea Esports to grab the first spot. The team will also be seen going international in the upcoming PMWI 2022, alongside Team SouL.
