BGMI ban: The game was banned for a report by intelligence authorities

A report by intelligence agencies forced the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to inform the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) and trigger a ban on the popular battle royale game, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The GoI found the game sharing data with the servers in China. These kinds of activities pose a serious threat to the security of India. According to numerous reports, experts feel that it’s a temporary ban. However, the official ban order for BGMI is yet to be announced by the Government of India.

Opportunity for Krafton to prove its innocence

Krafton will now have a chance to represent its case to the Government of India and the final decision on a complete ban will come out only after that. A source close to the development informed Talkesports that Krafton will have two weeks’ time to prove its innocence.

If the evidence provided by Krafton is considered authentic and proves that there is no connection between Battlegrounds Mobile India and China, there is still a chance that BGMI’s ban might be lifted. Furthermore, Krafton will also be meeting with MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) officials in the mentioned period to present such evidence and prove their innocence in this case.

BGMI fans in India are desperately waiting for the outcome. Many fans have labeled this ban a major setback in the growth of esports in India. However, if Krafton manages to prove its innocence, fans might be able to enjoy the title with peace once again. However, fans have to keep patience and wait for a while to get a clearer picture about the situation. For more news and information related to the BGMI ban, follow InsideSport.IN.
