“We are so excited to kick off our inaugural year of VCT Pacific! We are bringing fans a roster of top-quality teams and a thrilling tournament schedule. There is so much talent, passion, and skill in the Pacific region and I can’t wait to see our teams prove themselves on the international stage. We hope fans will join us for our Face Off kick-off event where they can hear from Pacific teams directly and watch them clash for the first time before the tournament starts,” said Jake Sin, Head of VALORANT Esports, APAC at Riot Games.
VCT Pacific is one of three international leagues introduced under the new VCT structure announced in September last year. The league will pit ten of the best teams from Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, and South Asia against each other across a 10-week period. The top three teams from the Pacific league will qualify to represent the Asia Pacific region in upcoming VCT global events – Masters in Tokyo, Japan in June, and Champions in Los Angeles, US in August.
