Commonwealth Games Esports: DOTA 2 (Valve), eFootball™ series (KONAMI) and Rocket League (Psyonix) will be featured at the event. The championship will take place in International Convention Centre (ICC) this August 6-7.
All three titles will also feature in Women Category and an Open Category.

Showcasing the excitement of the upcoming event, students from across the UK played Rocket League during today’s CGF Executive Board Meeting.
The demonstration was attended by President of the CGF.

The Commonwealth Esports Championships will feature exciting demonstrations showcasing Active Esports. It will showcase the powerful technologies that support the convergence of sport and esports.
The Commonwealth Esports Forum – a global convention of diverse thought leaders and idea creators – will be held at the same venue on Friday, August 5, 2022.
Esports and the Commonwealth
• 65% of the Commonwealth’s 2 billion citizens are under the age of 30
• Data suggests that 16-24-year-olds are more likely to watch esports tournaments (32%) to traditional sports tournaments (31%) with 44% watching live streams of video games
• 89% of adults in the Commonwealth have a mobile connection today and just under half of them are using data services
• Among adults in the Commonwealth who access the internet, 82% access it on mobile devices
• By 2022 almost everyone online in the Commonwealth will have a smartphone and access to sufficient bandwidth to stream video
• Individual media consumption across all form of media has increased from 7 hours to 8 hours per individual per day
