A significant reason for this insane margin with other teams is due to the humongous number of finishes done by the entire team. However, a significant part of those finishes was done by SOUL Goblin, who was also the MVP of the tournament. Goblin is now a sensation in the BGMI community, inspiring tons of players to pursue their dreams.

In an exclusive interview with Insidesport, SOUL Goblin aka Harsh Paudwal spoke to Avhinandan Chakraborty (Manager- Esports and Gaming) about everything BMPS and beyond.

Q1. How does it feel to win the biggest BGMI tournament in India?

From being an underdog to dominating the T1 lobby, this journey was mind-blowing. I got the opportunity to prove myself and the execution couldn’t have been the best. The smiles and happiness we, as a team brought on my mom’s face and to millions of people, is just priceless.

Q2. Who was Soul Goblin before the BMPS win?

No one has heard of the name Goblin before. Soul Goblin was just an unofficial player without any achievements but now they call me the best player in the country. Today, I feel proud to be the MVP of the biggest BGMI tournament in India.

Q3. What does it take to maintain consistency with kills in a pro-tournament?

A routine grind with proper guidance brings focus to all your hard work. The hunger to win as a team gives you the responsibility of consistently taking kill points and in my team, I handled that responsibility quite well.

Q4. What is that one thing you wish you could change from the entire tournament?

Though we won by a huge margin I still feel for the silly mistakes I did that cost a few points for the team. The final match of Day 3 where I secured 13 kills was the best and worst match for me. I got the high kills but my overconfidence gave us the second position in that match.

Q5. Best moment from BMPS Season 1

Being the biggest fan of Mortal & Viper Bhai, it was a dream moment for me to play the final match of the tournament with them. That too taking a chicken dinner and then celebrating the tournament victory with all the people waiting outside was something I never imagined.

Q6. What are your expectations from PMWI and how are you going to approach it?

I believe in performing at the top of my form, no matter what the stage is. I trust my instincts and with sheer confidence in my team, we’re ready for the world stage. No matter what the results would be, we promise to make our supporters and our country proud.

Q7. What are your expectations from BGIS Season 2 and how are you going to approach it?

The BMPS trophy is not it. We are not stopping here. Keeping with the confidence we built in BMPS, we are just grinding for upcoming challenges. Realizing mistakes and rectifying them for BGIS is what the plan is.

All the best to SOUL Goblin on his future endeavors!
