Streamers react to the Roe v. Wade abortion bill verdict
Twitch, as a platform, gained popularity through the world of esports. However, creators have now started using the platform for other things such as political discussions as well. One of the most popular political commentators on Twitch, Hasanabi, shared his take on Twitter after the verdict was announced.

Hasanabi also pointed out the blatant hypocrisy in the fact that the Supreme Court said they could do nothing to enact gun control, but were quick to dismiss women’s rights to abortion. Other streamers like BrookeAB also seem to echo his thoughts in this regard.
absolutely wild that the scotus said, no states rights for restricting gun sales and full states rights for restricting healthcare for women in a matter of 24 hours. its so transparent.

stop acting like you care about the “child’s life” if you continue to vote for people doing NOTHING to help the children being shot in schools.

Other streamers like Pokimane, Valkyrae, Asmongold, and many others shared their take on the situation, stating that not being able to have autonomy over their own bodies was a direct strike at the freedom of the people in the US.
they’re not pro-life, they’re pro-minimizing-women’s-rights.
if they were pro life, we’d have better gun control, universal healthcare, better support for homeless people & those in need.
don’t be fooled by their jargon.

If you don’t have autonomy over your own body, what real freedom can you have?

Disgusted to see what’s happening in America. You deserve to be able to make decisions for your own body. Not have that taken away from you!
