Earlier this week, the Supreme Court of the United States passed its verdict about the Roe v. Wade case. The SCOTUS overturned the case, essentially handing states the power to make abortion illegal as they see fit. Naturally, this has elicited quite the reaction from the community, and the eSports community also spoke up about it.
Pokimane reveals she wants to go back to Canada in light of Roe v. Wade verdict
The recent Roe v. Wade verdict has left many people extremely disheartened. While many streamers like Hasanabi and Asmongold took to their social media platforms to point out how this was a huge step back for all women in the United States, RTS founder Pokimane pointed out how this decision had nothing to do with “pro life” and was made to gain power over women’s bodily autonomy.

She also went on to speak about the issue on a recent livestream, claiming that there was not much left to say about the verdict.
“The Roe v Wade news is absolutely terrible. I tweeted about it. I retweeted a couple things. I faved a couple things. It’s just tough, because what more can we even say at this point?”
The popular OfflineTV streamer even went on to reveal that she had booked tickets back to Canada, making it clear that she no longer felt safe living in America.
“It’s depressing. I booked a ticket back to Canada. Like, ya know?”
Although Pokimane has mostly always been known to stream out of South California, she is originally from Canada, where she immigrated with her mother from Morocco.
The Roe v. Wade verdict has left most people distressed, and many streamers have used their platforms to voice their displeasure about the same.
