In a shocking announcement, Global Esports bids farewell to its BGMI lineups. In a YouTube stream, Rushindra Sinha, owner of Global Esports, made the announcement that the Global Esports roster, which includes “Mavi”, Team Mayavi, and GE Phoneix, is no longer part of the Global Esports organization.
Global Esports Bids Farewell to its BGMI Lineups
Rushindra Sinha stated that the negative impact on the organization’s image is the reason behind the departure of lineups. Over the past month, Team Mayavi, consisting of Blax, Cypher, Pro, Legit, and Thunder, faced numerous allegations of cheating. Additionally, similar accusations were levied against Team GE Phoenix, leading to this significant decision. Alongside these changes, Global Esports bid farewell to its primary roster, which featured Mavi, Darklord, NinjaBoi, Shadow7, and NOOB.
Rushindra Sinha Said, At this point, I don’t care who is legit. Who is not legit. I don’t care who is hacking. Not hacking. It is causing negative PR for my company. To everything that we have built over the last seven years. I don’t want that to be a problem. So straight-up players are legit. They are not. I no longer care. They are damn good players. I have seen their game play. But I don’t think it makes sense for the organization to have to bear the brunt of all of that. Because we didn’t do anything. Literally, we didn’t do anything. Wait. I’m not here to defend, stand by, or explain to anyone what happened. Mayavi, the players will come on stream, and they will give their explanation. I’m speaking from the perspective of the organization. So we decided we were going to put a pause on our entire BGMI operations. And re-value everything that we are doing.
Shubham “Mayavi” Chawla on their departure from Global Esports, ‘It’s impossible to defend being a part of global eSports. GE doesn’t want to continue, but that doesn’t mean they are hackers or scammers. The narrative set will be answered, but yeah, with a brand tag, it’s not doable. The reason GE doesn’t want to continue is simple: the brand is getting negative PR. AB MATCHES SE PEHLE MENTAL TORTURE KE LIYE VIDEO AYE AGAR KI HUM JEET GYE HUM JEET GYE GE NE NIKAL DIYA TO BRUH KHUD KI GAME BNAKE JEETE HOGE TUM HMARI TARAF SE ABHI PURI PICTURE BAAKI HAI.”
However, it’s now interesting to see where these lineups will go now that Global Esport’s main lineup performed well in the recent BGMI Masters Series Season 2, where they secured the 4th spot while facing elimination in the BGIS 2023. Additionally, Team Mayavi and GE Pheonix are currently playing in the BGIS 2023 Round 3.
