Minor Fortnite accounts need to be verified to access the game

Several minor Fortnite accounts recently received a notification from Epic Games. This particular notification asks the accounts to be verified by their parents within 30 days to get access to the game. Failure to verify will permanently delete the Fortnite accounts.

Apparently, Fall Guys has been owned by Epic Games and it is now available for free. As a result, several gamers have downloaded the title to enjoy the popular survival series game. This has triggered a certain security window and gamers have been asked to verify their Fortnite accounts. Gamers who are above the age of 13 are having no difficulties accessing the game. But those below the age limit are being asked to verify their account through their parents’ email id to gain access to the Battle Royale game.

Parent verification is also not an easy affair. The entire system is being controlled by a third-party organization called SuperAwesome. The company would require the parent to select the modes the child can gain access to. The parent will also need to provide basic details such as name, and address, and confirm the verification by providing their social security number or a credit card number.

While it seems to be harmless, several people would have a hard time trusting a third-party organization with their details. However, it is legit and there is no harm in submitting the confirmation through these methods.
