Unfortunately for Gareth Southgate, his team, and the entire country back home, the French FA quickly dismissed any claims that Mbappe might not be able to play in Saturday’s quarterfinal. They claimed that the tournament’s top performer was merely engaging in indoor recuperation exercises.
“Kylian Mbappe is working in the recovery room, it is usual two days after a game,” the FFF said.

Mbappe, 23, now has five goals in Qatar and nine overall after scoring twice as the defending champions defeated Poland 3-1 in the World Cup’s round of 16.
The PSG star is seen as England’s most dangerous threat going into Saturday’s clash.
Despite the fact that other players who played in the same match, like Olivier Giroud, did participate in the training. Les Bleus’ personnel said that Mbappe was unable to do so because of continued recovery efforts following their victory over Poland on Sunday.
Although Mbappe had complained about an ankle issue prior to the competition, it hasn’t seemed to affect his performance as he has undoubtedly been the tournament’s standout player.
