Spare a thought for Katherine Sciver-Brunt who, recently, revealed that this would be her last World Cup. Not to be for England. In Nasser’s words “The pressure of a run chase in the end told for England. Just so different in a knock-out game” England got off to a blazing start (53 off 5 overs) and were one run ahead at the 15th over mark with 7 wickets in hand. Ismail then conceded a 14-run over, but it’s the bowling of the 23 year-old in the 17th over that brought South Africa back into this game.

She removed the dangerous-looking Nat Sciver-Brunt and and just leaked 6 runs while at it. Khaka, as champion players do, saved her best for the crunch game and delivered the knock out blow in the 18th over. 3 wickets and 3 runs
