Akhtar while speaking on his Youtube channel said, “Eoin Morgan’s England team underestimated the Pakistan side. They do not understand that the Pakistan team is one of the best T20 teams in the world. If Pakistan win the 2021 T20 World Cup then it would not be a big surprise.”
ENG vs PAK T20: Pakistan posted their highest ever T20 score in the first game against England with the help of captain Babar Azam’s fine knock of 85 runs in 49 balls. Men in Green defeated hosts by 31 runs in the first T20I to register their first win of the tour. (ENG vs PAK 1st T20I)
Pakistan lost the ODI series 3-0 to the second-string England side led by Ben Stokes. After the series, it received criticism from many former cricketers. Akhtar was one of them who even questioned why is Pakistan playing at the international level.
Humiliating 3-0 defeat for Pakistan. Every summer we go to England to get results like this.

ENG vs PAK T20: “There was nothing on the wicket like extraordinary bounce. A little seam movement is expected in England. If you can’t handle that seam, then what will you do?. I feel sorry for myself and the fans. If Pakistan continues to perform like this, then who will watch them? I will not,” he had said on PTV Sports. Former Pakistan pacer Akhtar, who holds the record of bowling the fastest bowl in international cricket, has the tendency to make ridiculous statements and then take a U-turn on them.
Pakistan Cricket Team will look to settle the scores with England by winning the T20I series. The second game will be played on July 18 at Headingley, Leeds.
