England have included young batter Harry Brook in the team. The middle-order batter shot into the limelight during the Under-19 World Cup in 2018. Since then playing for Yorkshire, the youngster has scored a lot of runs. The right-hand batter has played one T20I for England.
Matthew Potts is the other newcomer to the England team. The young Durham pacer has enjoyed a bright start to the County Championship season. The 23-year-old has picked up 35 wickets at an impressive average of 18.57. Stokes was impressed with Potts and now the youngster would be keen to take learnings from James Anderson and Broad.

ECB managing director Rob key is happy with the squad selected and feels the squad has youth as well as experience.
“This is the start of a new era for our Test team under the stewardship of Ben [Stokes] and Brendon [McCullum],” Key said. “With a blend of youth and experience, we have selected an exciting squad that can compete with New Zealand in next month’s Test series.
“We have rewarded players in Harry Brook and Matty Potts who have had outstanding starts to the county season, and they deserve the opportunity to stake a claim at this level. It promises to be a mouthwatering series, and I can’t wait for the team to start against a very good New Zealand side.
