British star tennis player Emma Raducanu has undergone her third and last injury surgery. Earlier this month, the US Open champion took to social media to announce that she will be having procedures on both hands and her ankle, which will keep her out of competition for an extended period. With this latest update, it is confirmed that Raducanu will miss the French Open 2023, Wimbledon, and even the US Open, which she won as a qualifier back in 2021. Raducanu can been posting updates regarding her injury on her Instagram account in recent days and the 20-year-old shared the lastest update on her third and final surgery in a story posted on Monday.

Raducanu has been struggling with injuries since last summer and has slumped to 103 in the WTA rankings subsequently. She had hurt herself at the start of the year in Auckland and had recently pulled out of the Madrid Open at the last minute. After much speculation regarding the reason for her withdrawal, she took to social media to announce that she will be sidelined for several months and will undergo procedures on both her wrists and ankle.
Raducanu also posted images on her social media accounts after her final surgery and was seen enjoying her post surgery recovery. She posted four images on Twitter and wrote, “recent recovery roundup”
Ons Jabeur and Coco Gauff left heartfelt comments, while Raducanu’s US Open final opponent Leylah Fernandez wrote: “Get well soon!”. Young English sensation Jude Bellingham was also among the noted celebrities who liked her surgery update.
