Paulo Dybala has broken Cristiano Ronaldo’s record for the number of shirt sales on his first day after moving to Serie A club Roma.
The numbers that the Portuguese player achieved when he signed for Juventus in 2018 are lower than what Dybala achieved after completing his free transfer to Roma last week.

“Since this morning we haven’t stopped for a moment, we’ve done nothing but print Dybala shirts,” commented one worker. On the club website, the story was the same. Fans wanted to get their hands on the new signing’s shirt.
He turned down Totti’s no.10
The Italian club offered the former Juventus and Palermo man the chance to inherit Francesco Totti’s no.10, which no one has worn since his retirement.
Instead, the striker turned it down and will wear the no.21. The number chosen by Dybala is the one he has used before and which he wears with the Argentine national team.
