During an interview with UFC Unfiltered, the 51-year-old actor revealed why he chose to stick to his Hollywood career despite an interest in the UFC Octagon. He narrated, “

“There was a time there where I thought, man, I achieved everything I wanted to achieve in WWE, my movie career is floundering a little bit, what do I do?

“I was relatively still young, I think I was 34. I thought, oh well maybe UFC. Maybe I should do something like that.

“In my head, I felt like it was at least a two-year process for me to even get in the [cage], let alone the UFC.”

However, the Rock later turned his attention back to Hollywood and continued to rock the Silver Screen. In a tweet from 2016, he tweeted he didn’t like getting punched in the face which is why he didn’t join the UFC.

Although The Rock never became a UFC Fighter, he did make his UFC appearances multiple times. He also brought the BMF Belt to the UFC. He hosted the fight between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz for the BMF belt.

Currently, Dwayne Johson is one of the highest-paid actors in the world. He has starred in some of the biggest box-office movies such as Jumanji, Fast and Furious 7, Fast 5, Moana, and many more. Meanwhile, the former WWE Champion is rumored to make his in-ring return for a big fight at WrestleMania 40, however, there are still no confirmations on it.
