Dustin Poirier visits Conor McGregor’s hometown, Dublin
Considering both the fighter’s personalities, it is pretty impossible for both fighters to maintain a friendly relationship for a long time.
It doesn’t take much observation to realise that Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor possess quite different vibes. The Diamond is restrained and quiet, in contrast to The Notorious, who is obviously outrageous and unconventional.
In contrast to Dustin Poirier, who nearly broke down in tears after losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov, Conor McGregor is the kind of fighter who laughs and throws insults. The animosity between McGregor and Poirier is understandable because the pair is a textbook example of an extrovert versus an introvert.
Since breaking his tibia and fibula in the first round of his third fight with Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021, McGregor hasn’t been spotted in the cage. It has been rumoured that McGregor and ‘The Diamond’ may square off once more before their combat sports careers are over because their tiebreaker trilogy match was so close.
But Dana White later announced that Conor would be fighting Michael Chandler. Dustin Poirier, recently posted about his whereabouts on Instagram, captioning it as, “ Roadwork in Dublin with the boys!” as he tagged @tlfapparel, a clothing brand that produces gym wear.
Seeing Conor’s long-time rival in his hometown has left MMA fans wondering why the fighter might be there, some of the fans questioned him under his post, “ Why is bro in Dublin”, while someone else suggested he visit the “black forge inn.” Amongst the other comments, one belonged to Dustin’s wife as well.
