Dustin Poirier appeared to be giving the man a high five in a TikTok video before drawing him in and slapping him across the face. Although it wasn’t on the level of Dana White’s Power Slap League, the message was nevertheless received: don’t act disrespectfully with Poirier’s wife.

The phrase “Your wife is in my DMs” gained notoriety after Conor McGregor yelled it at Poirier following his third defeat against the native of Louisiana. McGregor had consistently hinted that Poirier’s wife had feelings for him and was contacting him in the days leading up to their trilogy battle.

For better or worse, all three of Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor’s fights against each other during their UFC careers have been very exciting. Two of their three matches have been won by “The Diamond,” with the Irishman taking the victory in their first encounter in 2014.
