Did Floyd Mayweather Witness Tupac Shakur’s Death: Boxing News: Even though he spent his early career living in the same neighbourhood as Tupac Shakur, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has stated that he was not present when the rapper was shot. Follow Boxing News Updates with InsideSports.IN.

The renowned boxer was living in Las Vegas and getting ready to make his professional debut in September 1996 after being denied an Olympic medal weeks earlier at the Atlanta Games due to an absurd judging decision. He has stated he did not see the rapper’s death despite being close to Flamingo and Koval Lane, where the shooting took place.

Undefeated Boxing Legend Clarifies Himself:  Floyd Mayweather Denies Witnessing Tupac Shakur’s Death

Shakur was driving a black BMW on Sept. 7, 1996, towards Death Row Records’ Suge Knight’s Club 662 in Las Vegas when a white Cadillac came up next to it and opened fire into the passenger side. Shakur suffered four blows before being taken by ambulance to the University Medical Centre of Southern Nevada.

While in a critical care unit, he suffered internal bleeding for six days before passing away.

A video showed Mayweather explaining to his pals one night in Las Vegas that he had been residing extremely close to the scene of the incident that appeared as the case resurfaced as a result of a search order that arrived on July 18. At the time, he was a young, rising boxer.

Floyd Mayweather again clarified the rumor by sharing a post on Instagram, In 1996 when Tupac Shakur was killed, I lived in the Meridian Apartments located on Flamingo and Koval Ln., which just so happens to be the area where Tupac was shot.   I have never said I witnessed the shooting.  All of these false accusations stem from me sharing the location of the shooting with John Singleton due to my familiarity of the area since I lived there.  This does not mean I witnessed Tupac’s shooting.  John Singleton was making a documentary or movie about Tupac, so he reached out to me asking where Flamingo and Koval Ln was located.  John’s was my friend, so I showed him this location with no hesitation.  The location of Tupac’s shooting is public knowledge and me living near there was just a coincidence.  I did not witness Tupac Shakur’s death.”

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department revived the case this week after decades of fruitless looking for Tupac’s shooter. On July 17, authorities in Henderson, Nevada, carried out a search warrant at a one-story house in connection with the matter.

Who fired the shots that killed Tupac Shakur is still unknown as of today. The search warrant related to Shakur’s murder was just recently carried out by the Las Vegas Police Department.
