Srikanth no match for Momota: Kento Momota beat Kidambi Srikanth: Like Lakshya Sen, Srikanth Kidambi run at the Denmark Open also ended on Thursday. Former World No. 1 was easily defeated by current No. 1 player in world Kento Momota of Japan. Momota defeated Srikanth Kidambi 23-21, 21-9.
Srikant had defeated out of form B Sai Praneeth 21-14, 21-11 in straight sets on Tuesday but was no match for Momota in the Pre-Quarters. In the first game Srikanth put up good fight but once that was lost 21-23, it was a one way traffic for the Japanese. In the end Momota won 23-21, 21-9.
