Denmark Open 2023: Schedule, Draws, LIVE Streaming, All you need to know

The Denmark Open 2023 will be the 25th tournament in the BWF Tour this year. India's Chirag-Satwik enter the tournament as World No.1 duo

Following the Arctic Open the BWF Tour in the Nordic countries is set to continue with the Denmark Open. The Super 750 tournament will begin from Tuesday, 17th October 2023. The tournament will feature World’s top players Viktor Axelsen, Anthony Ginting and World No.1 Men’s Doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty. Denmark Open – Draws

Men’s Singles

Insidesport

HS Prannoy is the only seeded player from India in Men’s Singles in the tournament. He is however most likely to miss the tournament having suffered a back injury at the Asian Games. He is in the second quarter of the draws and will be facing Koki Watanabe in the first round.

Lakshya Sen is placed in the third quarter. He will begin his campaign by playing against Kantaphon Wangchaoren in the first round. The quarter also has third seed Kodai Naraoka and sixth seed Shi Yuqi.

Kidambi Srikanth finds himself in the final quarter. He will be up against Weng Hong Yang, who won the Australian Open earlier this year, in the first round. If the Indian manages to reach the second round, he is likely to face eighth seed Li Shi Feng.

Women’s Singles

PV Sindhu is the only India in Women’s Singles in the tournament. The World No.13 enters the tournament after bowing out from the semifinal at the Arctic Open this week.

She is in the final quarter of the draw and will be facing Scotland’s Kirsty Gilmour in the first round. This quarter also has seventh seed Gregoria Tunjung. Sindhu and Tunung are likely to face each other in the second round.

Men’s Doubles

Third seed Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy will make their debut in the BWF Tour as the World No.1. The duo will get their campaign underway by facing World No.9 Malaysian pair Teo Ee Yi and Ong Yew Sin.

Chirag-Satwik are in the same quarter that also has seventh seeded Danish duo Kim Astrup and Anders Rasmussen. Against the Danish duo, the Indian recently lost in the World Championships.

MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila will face fourth seed South Korean pair Kang Min Hyuk and Seo Seung-jae in the opening round at the tournament. They are in the second quarter of the draw.

Women’s Doubles

Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand are the only Indian Women’s Doubles pair to feature in the tournament. They will face Aimsaard sisters from Thailand in the first round.

Jolly and Gopichand find themselves in a quarter that has fourth seed Yuki Fukushima and Syaka Hirota. The Japanese duo will likely be their second round opponents. Another Japanese pair Nami Matsuyama ana Chiharu Shida are also in the quarter. They are the fifth seeded pair.
