Shafali Verma captained India to the inaugural U-19 T20 World Cup in South Africa. Shafali can be devastating at the top of the order and is the opening partner of Mandhana in the Indian team. Delhi Capitals went all out to make the winning bid for the U19 World Cup winner. She hails from Rohtak in Haryana and will add a local flavour to the franchise.
RCB WPL Squad: Team Owners
JSW GMR Cricket Private Limited paid 801 crores to win the bid of Delhi in the WPL. The team is jointly owned by GMR group and the JSW Group. Both stakeholders have branched out into a variety of sporting teams, including franchises in UAE and South Africa. GMR also has teams Kabaddi and Kho Kho. JSW meanwhile is the owner of ISL club Bengaluru FC, and PKL side Haryana Steelers.
