In their previous match against the Lyca Kovai Kings, the Dindigul Dragons won the toss and chose to field. Although the Kings started strongly and scored at a rapid pace, they lost two quick wickets. However, a remarkable partnership for the third wicket put them in a commanding position, and they finished with a formidable total of 193 runs for the loss of seven wickets. The Dragons, in contrast, struggled to accelerate and kept losing wickets regularly. While Sarath Kumar made an effort to score crucial runs, it was not enough as the Kings emerged victorious by a margin of 30 runs.

Meanwhile, the Nellai Royal Kings faced the Siechem Madurai Panthers in their previous match, where the Panthers won the toss and elected to bowl. The Kings encountered early setbacks, losing two wickets in the early stages of their innings. However, they managed to recover with strong partnerships, as both Guruswamy Ajitesh and Nidhish Rajagopal scored half-centuries. The Kings set a formidable total of 211 runs. Although the Panthers had a solid start in their chase, some exceptional bowling in the closing stages of the game tilted the closely contested match in favor of the Kings, who emerged victorious by a narrow margin of four runs.
