David Warner is one of those overseas players who got national recognition after a successful run in the IPL. He was first a part of the then Delhi Daredevils and later on went on to become the leader of the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The swashbuckling southpaw from Australia is also one of the most loved foreign cricket players in India. Although Warner has been the core member of his franchise, it was only for a single year that he couldn’t don the jersey of SRH due to his ban from international cricket after the ball-tampering case. Under his leadership, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has claimed its maiden coveted title of IPL in the year 2016 when his men defeated the Virat’s red army. As much good as he is as a captain, he is also the most successful overseas batsman in IPL. David Warner International Debut: David Warner made his first international appearance in the year of 2009. Since then, Warner has gone on to become one of the most lethal opening batsmen in the history of cricket. His records across formats are nothing short of exceptional. In his debut match, he scored 89 off 43 balls with 7 fours and 6 sixes, which was the then second-fastest fifty in Twenty20 International history.
David Warner Test Records: The dashing southpaw from Australia is Australia’s one of the mainstream batsmen in all the formats. Whether it is a Test match or a T20I match, Warner is always on charge. In his 86 matches career, Warner has collected 7311 runs which include 24 centuries and 2 double-centuries. On 7 November 2015, Warner became only the third batsman in the history of Test cricket to score centuries in both innings of a Test match thrice, after Sunil Gavaskar and Ricky Ponting.
David Warner ODI Records: The limited-overs format is more suited to the type of game Warner has to offer. His aggressive style of play has made him one of the best openers in the world at present. He has 128 games under his belt in which he has scored over 5000 runs with an average of 45+.
David Warner T20I Records: Stats are sometimes misleading. So is the case of Warner’s stats in T20I. Although he has played 81 matches so far, Warner has scored only 2265 runs which are far less than what he is capable of scoring. He has maintained a healthy strike rate of almost 140 but by the time he retires, he will hope to mount some runs as well.
David Warner IPL Records: Captaining Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), David Warner has been impeccable with the bat. In an IPL career of 142 matches, Warner has scored over 5000 runs and always remains in the contention of the orange cap- given to the highest scorer of the season.
