It was one of those game, where both the batters and bowlers of West Zone stood tall to be counted in the contest. On the final day of the Duleep Trophy semifinal, Shams Mulani starred with a five wicket haul to see his team through to the final. Besides the spinner, Chintan Gaja also managed to take scalps.
As far as the Central ZOne batters went, barring Rinky SIngh, who hit a half-century, there was nothing much to write home about. They were eventually bowled out for 221.
With this win, West Zone have set up a huge clash in the final. They will meet a star-studded South Zone team, which thrashed North Zone.

Day 3 Recap: Shaw stole the show with his 142, which included 15 fours and four sixes. In fact, he had completed his ton late on Day 2 itself.
Arman Jaffer missed his century in the morning as he was dismissed for 49 runs. After his dismissal, West were 220/5. With half of the team in the pavilion, Central had a good chance to bundle out their opposition quickly.
But then, it was not going to be easy with West Zone’s wicketkeeper Het Patel delivering the goods in style. He received good support from other players in the lower order, which helped his case.

When Central Zone batters turn came to bat, the target looked impossible with one day and a few overs left for the game to close. They lost two wickets as Chintan Gaja and Shams Mulani taking one wicket each.
