CWG 2022 India DAY6 Highlights – India in CWG 2022: India had a great day on Wednesday as the nation bagged 5 medals to raise their tally to 18 medals overall at CWG 2022. The day began with Weighlifter Lovepreet Singh winning Bronze in the men’s 109kg category.  Sourav Ghosal then followed it up by winning the Squash Men’s Singles Bronze medal contest, defeating  James Willstrop 3-0. Judoka Tulika Maan then lost her Gold medal contest and settled for silver in the 78 + kg category in Judo. Meanwhile, India Men’s Hockey team defeated Canada 8-0 while the Women defeated Canada 3-2. In Women’s Cricket India defeated Barbados by 100 runs to book a spot in the semifinal. In Boxing, reigning World Champion Nikhat Zareen, Mohammad Hisamuddin and Nitu qualified for the semifinals and assured India bronze medals in the sport. However Lovlina Borgohain and Ashish Kumar lost their respective quarterfinal contests.
