Watch Cristiano Ronaldo pull-off amazing left-footed strike in Arab Cup QF stage

Cristiano Ronaldo strikes stunning left-footed goal during Al Nassr's recent Arab Cup Champions Cup quarter-final match against Raja Casablanca.

Cristiano Ronaldo: Ronaldo makes three goals in his last three matches for Al Nassr after spending five games in a goal drought. His most recent goal came in the Arab Cup Champions Cup quarter-final match against Raja Casablanca. In the three-goal fest, Ronaldo opened the scoresheet in the 19th minute of the game. It can be safely said that it was an absolutely beautiful strike. From near the penalty box line, the Portuguese took a powerful shot with his left foot which easily hit the back of the net.

After last season ended in June, Christiano Ronaldo went on his holiday with a heavy heart about not being able to secure any trophies. The summer was spent with rumours that the Portuguese could be coming back to Europe after spending half a season in Saudi Arabia. However, he blasted off such speculations. He then started for Al Nassr in pre-season friendlies. He went five matches in a row without scoring any goals. Hence, it seems that he needed some time to get his bearings in order.

He now looks to be back in his great form after he opened his goal sheet for the season. He ended his goal drought with a goal against US Monastir in their 2nd group stage match of the Arab Cup Champions Cup. Since then he has been on a roll as he went on to score in their next match against Zamalek. He saved this team from a defeat in the third group stage match by scoring the equaliser with only three minutes left on the clock.

They qualified for the knockout stages of the tournament following the draw with a 2nd-place finish in their group. He has now made it three goals in three matches with a beautiful strike against Raja Casablanca in their quarter-final match. Near the 19th-minute mark into the match, Ronaldo’s teammate Talisca shaved away 2 defenders on the right flank to get into the penalty box with the ball. There he found the Portuguese standing in the perfect position to receive the pass.

Ronaldo, who was left unmarked, had ample space and time to calculate and take the perfect shot. He kicked the ball with such great power that even though the goalkeeper dived in the right direction, he still could not reach the ball. The baller saw them open the scoresheet of the match. Al Nassr went on to score two more times through Sultan Al-Ghannam and Seko Fofana. Raja CA were unable to score any goal by themselves. However, they still registered one goal through an own goal by Abdullah Madu.

Al Nassr won the match and qualified for the Arab Cup Champions Cup’s semi-final round. Their semi-final match is against Al Shorta which will be held on August 9. Ronaldo and Co. will have to win two matches to win the trophy. If they manage to win the tournament, it will be Ronaldo’s first trophy with the Saudi club. That can give them an extra boost going into the Saudi Pro League in the upcoming season. Al Nassr begin their Saudi Pro League campaign on August 14 against Al Ettifaq.
