His ‘Siuu’ celebration was already famous worldwide. However, it seems that since his move to the Saudi club Al Nassr, he has become a household name. It is evident from a viral video where wedding guests can be seen doing the celebration.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a revered football of this generation. Similar to most players, he has a signature goal celebration style which where along with a jump and a pose, he shouts the word ‘siuu’. This style has become extremely popular among his fans worldwide. He made a move to the Saudi club Al Nassr at the turn of this year. It seems following this transfer, he has now become equally famous in the Middle East. He has now become such a household name that his celebration is being imitated during a wedding.
A video of a Middle Eastern wedding has gone viral recently. At the wedding, a number of guests can be seen dancing and clapping to the rhythm of some music playing in the background. At the end of the music beat, the guests collectively shouted ‘Siuu’. This is not the only time fans have copied the celebration style to celebrate their own big moments. Over the years, many videos of grooms imitating the celebration during their wedding or students imitating it during their graduation ceremonies have emerged.

Ronaldo himself has done his own signature celebration ‘siuu’ on various occasions. He has done the celebration after winning the Ballon d’Or in 2014. He has also been seen doing the celebration in his videos and more. Talking about how it started back in 2019, Ronaldo said during an interview, “I started to say ‘Si’ — it’s like ‘Yes’ — when I was in Real Madrid. When we would win, everyone would say ‘Siiiii’ and so I started to say it. I don’t know why, it was natural.”
