ZIM vs PAK 2nd Test Day 2: Azhar Ali, Abid Ali centuries put Pakistan in charge; PAK 268/4 (90 ov)- Pakistan batsman Azhar Ali and Abid Ali scored centuries to put visitors in the driving seat on Day 1 of the second Test against Zimbabwe here at the Harare Sports Club on Friday.

Abid Ali is till at the crease with 118 runs under his belt alongside Sajid Khan. Batting at number three for Men in Green, Azhar Ali also scored a ton. He scored a brilliant knock of 126 in 240 balls. Pakistan captain Babar Azam had a rare failure and was dismissed for 2, while last matches centurian Fawad Alam could only score five runs.

ZIM vs PAK 2nd Test Day 2: For the hosts, Blessing Muzarabani was the star performer with three wickets on his name. While Richard Ngarava also picked one wicket for his side. Luke Jongwe, Donald Tiripano, Tendai Chisoro and Milton Shumba could not pick a single wicket on Day 1.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and chosen to bat first. Tabish Khan has been given a debut while Faheem Ashraf is benched. On the Zimbabwe side, Luke Jongwe is getting a maiden Test cap after impressing in the T20Is.

After beating Zimbabwe comfortably in the first Test by an innings and 116 runs, Pakistan will gear up to take on Sean Williams’ lead side in the second Test here at the Harare Sports Club. Pakistan captain Babar Azam will aim to take whitewash Zimbabwe in their own backyard. Hasan Ali who was the Man of the Match in the first Test will look to continue on the same path.
