ZIM vs BAN ODI: 5 Fantasy Picks for the Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 1st ODI: The first of the three ODIs between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh will be played at Harare Sports Club, Harare on Friday afternoon. The three ODIs are part of the CWC Super League that serves as a route for qualification for the ICC 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup in India. Hence, both teams will be looking to make the most of these three one-day games. As far as CWC Super League standings are concerned, the host Zimbabwe is placed at the bottom spot with just one win in three outings whereas Bangladesh is comfortably sitting at the second position. Earlier, Bangladesh thrashed Zimbabwe by 220 runs in the one-off test and would be looking to replicate the same in the limited over series.

He has been in good form in 2021 lately scoring 158 runs in three innings against Windies in Jan-Feb, 92 runs in three innings against New Zealand in March-April, and 82 runs in three innings against Sri Lanka in May.

Mehidy Hasan – The right-arm off-break from Bangladesh finished as the leading wicket-taker in the one-off test with 9 scalps to his name. Hasan was the leading wicket-taker for Bangladesh on the Windies tour in Jan-Feb and the Sri Lanka tour in May, picking up 7 scalps in 3 games each.

Shakib Al Hasan – The Bangladesh all-rounder has been out of form lately but can’t be written off. Shakib Al Hasan averages 40+ against Zimbabwe in ODIs. He has scored 1404 runs in 42 innings at an average of 40.11, including three hundred and seven fifties.

Brendan Taylor – The wicket-keeper batsman finished as the top scorer in the one-off test against Bangladesh scoring 173 runs in 2 innings but unfortunately couldn’t guide his team to victory. Taylor has scored 6530 runs in 198 ODI innings at an average of 35.68 in his career span of 2004-2021. Against Bangladesh, Taylor has scored 1410 runs in 52 ODI innings at an average of 28.77.

Against Sri Lanka in May, Mahmudullah finished second leading run-scorer for Bangladesh, scoring 148 runs in 3 innings at an average of 49.33.
