ZIM beat IRE 5th T20I: Zimbabwe secure 5 runs win against Ireland in a nail-biter: Zimbabwe secured a thrilling five runs win over Ireland in the fifth and final T20I here at Bready Cricket Club, Bready, Northern Ireland on Saturday. Opting to bat, Zimbabwe could only manage 124/4 which looked below par at that moment. However, Zimbabwean pacers made it look like a competitive total as they reduced Ireland 30/4 in the powerplay. Irish Wicket keeper Neil Rock (22 off 21) and Shane Getkate (15 off 21) tried resurrecting the run chase but the Zimbabwean pacers came back strongly and eventually bowled out the hosts at 119/10. Luke Jongwe (3-29) and Donald Tiripano (3-31) were the picks of the bowlers for the visitors.
With the T20I series done and dusted, both teams will now meet in the three ODIs in Belfast scheduled for September 08, 10, and 13.
