Former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan has been named the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ahead of IPL 2025. Khan, who was previously associated with Mumbai Indians, will now be a part of a new franchise. The announcement was made at a press conference called by LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka in Kolkata. Zaheer will also take up the job of bowling coach.

“LSG in their short stint has reached playoff 2 out of 3 times. I will be the bowling coach. This will be a special journey. Have played a lot of matches, spent a lot of time in the city. Will reach the city as soon as possible,” Zaheer Khan said.
The 45-year-old left-arm pacer brings with him a wealth of experience, having represented India in 92 Tests, 200 ODIs, and 17 T20Is, amassing an impressive tally of 610 international wickets.
