Yuvraj Singh: Time to end Wait

Yuvraj Singh a key member of India’s 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy victories, highlighted the team’s need for self-belief: “I just feel that we have the self-belief of winning big tournaments. I think if India believes and backs themselves and play to their own strengths, I’m sure they’ll go all the way. And that’s what I believe in.”

Surprise picks for T20 World Cup final?

When asked about his predictions for the final, Yuvraj surprised many by overlooking traditional powerhouses like Australia. Instead, he opted for India, the West Indies, and Pakistan as the teams to watch: “I’m hoping India, probably West Indies. Pakistan 3, and no Australians (laughs),” he said with a chuckle.

Yuvraj Singh also tipped his hat to his former teammate Virat Kohli, predicting a stellar performance with the bat. While expressing his excitement for Rishabh Pant’s return from injury, Yuvraj pointed to Kohli’s recent IPL form as a sign of things to come: “Leading run-getter seems like Virat Kohli, he’s had a very good IPL.”
