With a masterful display of flair, Abhishek hammered 37 runs off just 12 balls. He opened the batting for SRH and once again showed off his batting prowess, driving the team to 78 runs in the powerplay alone while needing 166 runs to win.
Abhishek has already amassed 161 runs in 4 games for the SRH, and he has led the team in scoring for the entire 2024 IPL season. He is one of the few batters to maintain a strike rate of over 200 in IPL 2024 so far.

During the post-match presentation ceremony, Abhishek spoke about the amount of hard work he has been putting in. He also spoke of former Indian player Yuvraj Singh, his idol and someone he had always looked up to. The young player also gave Lara, a former SRH coach, credit for helping him develop as a cricketer along with his father.
“Big scores matter, but I went with the flow today. Hopefully, I will get out last next time. It is all the hard work I have put before this. Special thanks to my dad, Yuvi paaji and Brian Lara,” Abhishek said.
