Gaikwad credits Dhoni’s blitz
CSK’s new skipper, Ruturaj Gaikwad, was quick to acknowledge Dhoni’s decisive contribution. During the post-match presentation, Gaikwad lauded the “young wicketkeeper” for his explosive batting, playfully highlighting Dhoni’s evergreen ability to turn the tide of the game. These crucial extra runs proved to be the difference, as MI fell short by 20 runs while chasing a daunting target.
While taking a playful jab at his former CSK skipper, Gaikwad said, “The young wicketkeeper scoring those three sixes helped us a lot, that proved to be the difference. We needed those 10-15 extra runs for this kind of venue.”
