While the core setup remains the same for Team India, the traveling reserves however have seen a change. The young guns who have performed well in the IND vs BAN T20I series, have got their chance in the team as traveling reserves.
Mayank Yadav, Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Prasidh Krishna are the four traveling reserves on the team. While it is expected that none of the four players would get a chance in the India playing XI, but is imperative that they get some much-needed experience under their belts.
New faces as Traveling Reserves for Team India
Mayank Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy got their Team India debuts in the shortest format of the game. While Harshit Rana patiently awaits his breakthrough. All four fast bowlers will be toiling hard in the nets to get a knack of the game before getting their chance in red ball cricket.
Gautam Gambhir and the BCCI Selection Committee are keen for the next crop of players to get some much-needed practice before they get a bite of the cherry in red ball cricket. Harshit Rana has been decent throughout the domestic format and is inching closer to getting his debut for the national team.
Nitish Reddy has been a revelation, following in the footsteps of Hardik Pandya to become the next-best all-rounder for the Men in Blue. On the other hand, young pace sensation Mayank Yadav finally got his chance to showcase his pace train in the IND vs BAN T20Is.
