You got to find strength: Rohit Sharma ‘looking forward’ to IND vs SA Tests after WC heartbreak

Team Indian skipper Rohit Sharma opened up about the heartbreaking World Cup loss ahead of the IND vs SA 1st Test series.

Team Indian skipper Rohit Sharma said that he is looking forward to IND vs SA Test series after his team’s hearbreaking ODI World Cup final loss last month.

In his first press-conference after the World Cup final loss, the Indian skipper emphasised that there is so much cricket happening around that one has to move on and look forward.

“There’s so much happening in life, there’s so much cricket happening. You got to find that strength to move on from that. It takes time. It took time for me, as well to come out from that, but You know, you you’re going to look forward. You got to look forward”, Rohit Sharma said in the pre-match press conference.

Last month, the hosts were on a 10-match unbeaten run in their World Cup campaign, but lost to Pat Cummins’ Australia in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Rohit also acknowledged the fans’s support after the loss and said the outside support helped alot in him moving on.

“We got a lot of encouragement from the outside world after that final as well. And that motivated me personally. To make sure I get up and start doing my job again”, the 36-year-old said.

Team India will begin their Test campaign in South Africa on Tuesday, December 26 in Centurion. Notably, the Men in Blue are yet to win a Test series on South African soil.
