Southpaw Yashasvi Jaiswal and pacer Mohammed Siraj bagged the Impact Fielder of the Series medal following the 2-0 whitewash against Bangladesh. India claimed an emphatic 7-wicket win against Bangladesh in the 2nd Test in Kanpur to clinch the IND vs BAN series 2-0.
Following the series, fielding coach T Dilip held the traditional medal ceremony in the dressing room to adjudge the best fielder in the series. Jaiswal and Siraj emerged as the joint winners, pipping skipper Rohit Sharma to grab the medal.

Addressing a jubilant Indian dressing room, T Dilip applauded the intent of the fielders to convert half-chances into stunning catches on the field. He gave a shoutout to the slip cordon, hailing their performances at a time when reflexes and concentration was tested. Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Siraj were short-listed as the contenders for the medal. Dilip went on to give a special shoutout to skipper Rohit Sharma, noting that he was as reliable as a ‘Swiss watch’ when it came to catching.
