Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal put his second T20I failure behind and scored a blazing fifty in the IND vs SA 3rd T20I in Johannesburg on Thursday, December 14. Jaiswal took on the bowlers from ball one. The youngster reached his half-century in 34 balls with a single in the 12th over.
Jaiswal hit 6 fours and 2 sixes on his way to fifty. While the Indian opener started his innings in blistering style, he decided to play a second fiddle to Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav who continued from where he left off in the second T20I.
Jaiwal was eventually dismissed on 60 while attempting to go for a big shot off Tamriz Shamsi’s delievery in the 14th over.

Notably, Jaiswal was dismissed on a 3-ball duck in the IND vs SA 2nd T20I. But the 21-year-old compensated after slamming 34-ball fifty in the series decider.
With three-way race for India’s opening slot in T20Is, Yashasvi Jaiswal has made a strong case for himself for the T20 World Cup.
