Jaiswal currently sits second in the WTC 2023–25 cycle with 1,028 runs. He is just 371 runs away from surpassing Joe Root, who leads the charts with 1,398 runs.

Jaiswal leads the ICC World Test Championship with 1,028 runs. To become the Indian batter with the most runs in a single WTC edition, the 22-year-old needs 132 more runs in the upcoming series. Ajinkya Rahane currently holds the record for the most runs by an Indian in the WTC 2019–21 cycle, with 1,159 runs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal to become batter with most sixes in WTC cycle

The left-handed batter is set to break England Test captain Ben Stokes’ record for the most sixes in a single World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. In the first WTC edition, held between 2019 and 2021, Stokes hit 31 sixes. To surpass Stokes and set a new record, Jaiswal needs just three more sixes.
