Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal stamped his authority in the IND vs ZIM 4th T20 with an unbeaten 53-ball 93. Jaiswal and skipper Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 156-run opening partnership helped India finish off the run chase in the 16th over and win by 10 wickets to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-T20I series.

After the comprehensive win in the IND vs ZIM 4th T20, Jaiswal interacted with the fans at Harare Sports Club. In a video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), fans asked Jaiswal a few questions.

Amazing experience with Shubman Gill: Yashasvi Jaiswal

One of fan asked how he felt playing after a big gap as he did not get a chance to play a single game in the T20 World Cup 2024.

“I just enjoyed my process and being a part of World Cup champion team. I learned a lot. I was really excited and whenever I get a chance, I will try my best and make sure I’m contributing and winning the game for my team. I really enjoyed playing today. It was an amazing experience with Shubman bhai. Whenever I play for India, I really enjoy and feel proud,” Jaiswal said.

Yashasvi Jaiswal on missing century

The southpaw missed his second T20I century by just seven runs. The fan wondered whether Jaiswal and Gill discussed it in the middle. “We were just thinking about how to finish off the game. We wanted to finish the game without no loss,” the 22-year-old said.

The opener also emphasized the need to play domestic cricket because it helps the players prepare for games at the international level. “Ofcourse, domestic khelne ka bohot fayda milta hai. Bohot acha aap prepare kar sakte ho aur ready ho sakte ho matches ke liye. Domestic games are really important for us. We really enjoy playing,” said the Mumbai batter.
