After a string of underwhelming performances, Yashasvi Jaiswal roared back to form with a spectacular century, guiding the Rajasthan Royals (RR) to a convincing win over the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Monday.
Jaiswal, who had been struggling for form in the ongoing IPL season, exploded for a match-winning 104* runs off just 60 balls. His knock was laced with nine boundaries and seven towering sixes, a display of power-hitting that left the MI bowlers hapless.
Chasing a target of 180 runs, RR rode on Jaiswal’s brilliance to seal the victory with ease. Jaiswal stitched a magnificent unbeaten stand of 109 runs in 64 balls alongside Sanju Samson.
Notably, this was Jaiswal’s second IPL hundred, both of which have come against MI. In doing so, the southpaw has become the youngest (22 years and 116 days old) player to smash multiple IPL tons.
