Yashasvi Jaiswal equalls Sachin Tendulkar’s feat in unique record list

Yashasvi Jaiswal impressed with a century and surpassed 150 runs in the Perth Test, joining a unique list of world-class cricketers.

Yashasvi Jaiswal impressed everyone again. During the India vs Australia first Test in Perth on Sunday, not only did he score a century, but he also crossed the impressive 150-run mark. By achieving this feat, he equalled a unique tally of world-class players and joined Sachin Tendulkar on the list.

Yashasvi Jaiswal started with an 8-ball duck in the first innings of the match, but he showed remarkable performance in the second innings. This innings showed why he deserves the opening spot in the Indian team.

Consistent high scores

So far, Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored four Test centuries, and in all of those matches, he surpassed the 150-run score. Whenever he has scored a century, he has gone beyond 150 runs, including two double centuries, making it an interesting statistic.

Joining an Elite list of players

Jaiswal is now among the players with the most 150+ scores before turning 23. Leading this list is the Australian great Don Bradman, who had eight scores of 150+ before he was 23. Following him are Pakistan’s Javed Miandad, Graham Smith from South Africa, Sachin Tendulkar, and now Yashasvi Jaiswal. If Jaiswal scores 150+ again in the next match or before turning 23, he will move to the second spot solely on this unique list.
