India recently thrashed England 4-1 in the 5-match Test series. The biggest talking point – a certain young southpaw who bagged the highest runs in the series – Yashasvi Jaiswal. Ahead of IPL 2024, Jaiswal has credited Rajasthan Royals for providing him with the platform to practice and improve on his technique.
He might have played Test Cricket, but the actual Bazball or Jaisball was played by Yashasvi Jaiswal. The youngster fired on all cylinders hit runs in a flurry. While taking the T20 route in Test cricket, the southpaw credited his IPL franchise team for allowing him to practice endlessly.
“I have that range and thanks to T20 cricket and Zubin Bharucha sir, who has helped me to improve my game. It has been three or four years since I have been working with him. Thanks to Rajasthan Royals that they provide me a platform where I can go and practice for endless number of days,” Yashasvi Jaiswal told the Indian Express.
“At the same time, I have been playing with the Indian team for the past nine months and there I speak to Rohit Sharma sir and Rahul Dravid sir a lot. That has helped me improve my game a lot. It helped me to understand the game situation, how I can be there for a long time, and make sure I play all my shots and enjoy the game,” Jaiswal concluded.
