Yashasvi Jaiswal continues to climb ICC Test rankings, courtesy stellar IND vs ENG series

ICC Test rankings: India Cricket Team star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal now 12th in ICC Test Rankings after stunning IND vs ENG Test series

Yashasvi Jaiswal continues to be India’s poster boy. The young southpaw has risen 3 spots to reach 12th spot in the ICC Men’s Test Team Rankings. Previously he was ranked 15th on the list, but after India’s win in the IND vs ENG Ranchi Test, the youngster has further gained 3 more spots in the rankings table.

The 22-year old batter has been in subline touch in the ongoing series. He has managed to score a massive 655 runs in just 4 matches. These include two double centuries and two fifty plus scores. India can largely bank on Yashasvi Jaiswal’s performance for their home series win against England.

Only Virat Kohli stars in the top 10 list currently. The star batter has seen his rankings drop after missing out on the entire IND vs ENG Test series. Kohli is currently placed 9th on the list after having dropped 2 spots.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has lost out his spot to fellow opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rohit dropped from the 12th spot to the 13th spot. However, Rishabh Pant continues to retain his 14th spot despite having not played cricket for over an year.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has another chance to increase his rankings in the coming weeks. India are slated to take on England for the fifth Test in Dharamshala.
