WTC Points Table: India retain top spot, Australia beat Kiwis for 2nd place

India consolidated top spot in WTC Points Table after dominating win in IND vs ENG Dharamshala Test

The India Cricket Team clinched a sensational 4-1 win in the Test series against England. The hosts dominated the Three Lions to etch out a win by an innings and 64 runs. After England’s collapse at Dharamshala, India have now consolidated their position at the top of the World Test Championship (WTC) points table. Australia went on to beat New Zealand to reclaim second spot with 62.50 Percentage Points. India are on top with 68.51 PCT.

Heading into the Dharamshala Test, India were already on the top spot after their emphatic win in the Ranchi Test. England, however, on the other hand lies 8th, at the penultimate position.

India’s nearest rivals are New Zealand and Australia. Each of the trio are keen to occupy the top spot of the points table. Currently, the Black Caps are engaged in a Test match against Australia. Irrespective of the result of the game, the duo will not be able to topple India. Rohit Sharma and Co have consolidated their position at the top of the standings.
