WTC Final: Team India arrived in London on Saturday in preparation for their World Test Championship Final match against Australia at the Kennington Oval, where they will battle for the ultimate glory. Upon arriving at the team hotel, India’s captain Rohit Sharma brightened a young fan’s day by taking a photo with her. The squad will have practice sessions at The Oval to get accustomed to the conditions before the ultimate showdown, commencing from Thursday, June 07.

Following their arrival in London on Saturday, Indian cricketers Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shubman Gill went to Wembley to see the FA Cup final between Manchester United and Manchester City. While SKY was sat with his wife Devisha Shetty, Kohli and Shubman sat with Bollywood superstar actress and Virat’s wife, Anushka Sharma.

Before arriving in London, The Indian team stayed at Arundel City. It is a small market town in the Arun District of the South Downs in West Sussex. They had their practice sessions at the Arundel Castle Cricket Ground which is considered as one of the most beautiful ground in the world, while the Kennington Oval was busy for WTC preparation.

India have not had a fantastic experience at The Oval, although the squad has only played 14 Test matches there. India contested in 14 matches, winning 2, losing 5, and drawing 7 of them. India will go into the game with confidence after defeating England by 157 runs in their previous meeting at The Oval.

Meanwhile, Australia’s performance at The Oval stands in stark contrast to their performances at other English stadiums, such as The Lord’s, where they have a success rate of 43.59%, 34.62% at Headingley, 30.43% at Trent Bridge, and 29.03% and 26.67%, respectively.

Australia finished the 2021–2023 WTC cycle as the top team, suffering their lone loss in a 2-1 away loss to India earlier this year. For the last eight years, they have struggled with the Indian squad, losing four straight series both at home and away.
