WTC Final 2023 – IND vs AUS, ENG vs AUS: With most of international players busy in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL 2023), Australian star Marnus Labuschagne has flown to England. With the World Test Championship Final against India and Ashes 2023 in sight, the Aussie batter jetted off today (Wednesday) to start the preparations for the glittering events. The 28-year-old will kick-off his long tour of England with the County Championship stint with Glamorgan.

With the Ashes and WTC Final on the line, the Australian batter returns to Cardiff for Glamorgan. It continues a connection with the club that was started in 2019.

Last year, Marnus Labuschagne signed a contract with Glamorgan that would keep him with the team through the 2024 season.

For the Cardiff club, the Australian batter has participated in 21 first-class games, amassing 1,719 runs at an average of 52.09 and claiming 31 wickets.

He has scored 508 runs in 14 T20 matches while also taking 12 wickets with the ball.

The 28-year-old is now ranked No. 1 in the ICC Test batting rankings and has scored 2,3394 runs for his nation in the longest format.

WTC Final 2023 – IND vs AUS

Before facing their bitter adversary England in the Ashes series, which will start on June 16, the Australians will play India in England.

From June 7 to June 11, the WTC Final will be held at the Kennington Oval Stadium in London, United Kingdom.

With 11 victories, three defeats, and five draws in 19 games, Australia finished first in the ICC WTC standings.

Their winning percentage was 66.67%.

India, on the other hand, finished in second place with a win percentage of 58.8% after winning 10 of their 18 Test matches, losing 5, and drawing 3.

Ashes 2023 – ENG vs AUS

A one-off Test match against Ireland will be played at Lord’s from June 1–4 to kick off Ben Stokes-led side summer. England Test skipper is currently with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL.

The five-match Test series against Australia will then command their focus, with England attempting to reclaim the Ashes following their 4-0 loss in Australia in 2021–2022.

The Test matches for the men’s Ashes will be held at Edgbaston, Lord’s, Headingley, Old Trafford, and The Oval between June 16 and July 31.
