WTC Final 2023: Australia revealed the new jerseys they’ll be sporting against India in the World Test Championship Final, which gets off on June 7 at The Oval. Cricket Australia posted a photo of the players wearing their new Baggy Green & White jerseys in a photo session done just for the WTC 2023 Final on Twitter. Australia, captained by Pat Cummins, will be adamant about overcoming its recent setbacks at The Oval in their brand-new kits. Check out the pictures below.

Australia’s performance at The Oval has always been particularly challenging throughout the lengthy history of Test cricket in England. Australia have only won seven times in 38 games played at The Oval since their first Test match in England in 1880. Their winning percentage of 18.42 percent is the lowest of any English venue’s winning percentages. The Australian squad is nevertheless inspired to put their past setbacks behind them and work towards victory in the next championship final.

Only twice in the previous 50 years have Australia won at The Oval. On the other side, they had 17 victories from 29 games at The Lord’s, for a success percentage of 43.59 percent, beating out South Africa’s 33.33 percent and the 39.72 percent of the hosts England from 141 games at the same venue. At Headingley, Trent Bridge, Old Trafford, and Edgbaston, respectively, Australia’s success rate is 34.62 percent, 30.43 percent, 29.03 percent, and 26.67 percent.

Since both teams will only have access to The Oval’s facilities two days before the game, Pat Cummins & Co will practice at Kent’s out-ground over the weekend. Additionally, Beckenham is recognised for having a batter-friendly surface, whereas The Oval is probably going to suit the pacers. With their 2-1 away loss to India earlier this year, Australia concluded the 2021–23 WTC cycle in first place. They have lost four straight series against the Men in Blue and haven’t defeated them either at home or away in eight years.
